Meet Our New Faculty!

You may have noticed some new faces at Greenwood Elementary School.  We would like to introduce our new faculty members for the 2017-2018 school year!

Chiquitta Williams is our new Instructional Coach.  She comes to us from Minor Community School and will be working with testing and data to help improve instruction so we can continue to grow at every level.  Mrs. Williams has two children and a twin sister who is the principal at Lipscomb Elementary School.

Hayleigh Rosser will be teaching Technology and helping Mrs. Williams with student intervention.  She also comes to us from Minor Community School.  Ms. Rosser attended elementary school at Greenwood and is now teaching with some of the same teachers who taught her!

Alfonzo Frazier is our new PE Coach.  He comes to us from Minor High School where he taught Career Tech.  Before that, Coach Frazier was a Birmingham City Police Officer.  Coach's wife is also a PE coach.  She teaches at John Carroll Catholic School.  They have an 18-month-old son and are expecting a little girl December 25th.

Joshua Ferguson is taking Ms. Stricklin's place in the music room.  He was raised in Dallas, Texas, and attend college at Oklahoma Baptist University.  His wife teaches 4th grade at Clay Elementary School.

Caprisia Chandler is our new full-time school nurse.  She has worked at JEFCOED for 9 years and loves nursing.  Mrs. Chandler graduated from Jess Lanier High School, has a daughter who is a junior at the IB School and a son who is a first grader here at Greenwood.

We are thrilled to welcome these new faces to the Greenwood Gator family.  Be sure to give them a big gator welcome the next time you see them.
