Meet Dr. Gayle Gober!
Dr. Gayle Gober has been involved in education for 22 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Alabama, a Master of Arts in
Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Doctor of
Education from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to becoming an
educator, she worked in a law office as a paralegal for many years.
Dr. Gober taught social studies at both Jess Lanier High School
(1994-1996) and Hueytown High School (1996-2001). During the past 15
years, she has served as an administrator for all grade levels: McAdory
Middle/High School (2001-2004), Adamsville Elementary School
(2004-2009), and Hueytown High School (2009-2015).
She has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 35 years and they have
two adult children (Jaime and Heath) and one Maltipoo dog (Kramer). Her
family has lived in the McCalla area for the past 28 years and her
children attended McAdory High School. Dr. Gober says that she is happy
to “come home” to the McAdory School Zone and is looking forward to a
great school year as the new principal of Greenwood Elementary School!
